About Stilsing Electric
We install, repair, and maintain traffic signals, roadway lighting, and intelligent transportation systems in New York. Our electricians also service water and wastewater, HVAC, power generation, elevator, and fire detection systems. We work directly for state and local agencies and as an electrical subcontractor to general contractors.
Our history
Harold Stilsing founded Stilsing Electric in 1952 in Rensselaer, New York. Over more than seven decades, the company has grown from a local electrical contractor into a trusted partner for traffic signal and critical-facility electrical work across the region. Today it serves a long-standing base of public agencies and contractors, and many customers have worked with the company for years. Stilsing will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2027
